Abstract
The traditional motorcycle safety design was based on stress intensity, but the design results were often not optimal.Reliability design was applied to the design of motorcycle frame by taking diameters and thicknesses of its bars as well as its loads in the actual work as indeterminate variables in this paper.CAE analysis model of the motorcycle frame was established by using the software of ABAQUS.The matlab program was programmed to call the ABAQUS modules for completing finite element analysis of the motorcycle frame and generating a response surface function of quadratic polynomial sequence. Finally, reliability optimal design of the motorcycle frame was achieved by using the advanced first order second moment method.
