Abstract

A significant and scientific approach to the study of the cement flyash gravel(CFG) pile composite foundation is to employ indoor simulation tests.Based upon indoor simulation tests on CFG pile composite foundation, the features of CFG composite foundation deformation and bearing capacity on similar geometric condition, with different pile length and different pile span are analyzed. The analyses show that CFG pile-soil stress ratio is about 15~25,and pile stress increases with the increase of load. The study also manifests the characteristics of deformation,pile-to-soil stress distribution and bearing capacity of composite foundation with a cushion of soft underlying layer and short piles, which is hard to achieve in reality. The results of the influencing factors analysis on pile soil stress ratio adopting this method show that choosing the reasonable pile diameter, spacing and length of piles can give full play to the carrying capacity of CFG pile composition foundation, which is important to guide the actual projects.
