Abstract
Baishan Coalmine belongs to the coal mining under moderately water-rich and water-bearing strata , under which there is no stable clay pan .To demonstrate the safety and reliability of coal pillar, study and analysis of failure and movement feature of overburden rock are conducted under the condition of Baishan Coalmine 's geology and coal mining. The mechanism for mining with sandprevention pillar are revealed. The obvious economic benefits have been obtained. The reliable basis is provided for enhancing the upper limit for other similar coalmines.
