Abstract
The principles and methods of cathodic protection technology are introduced.The important role which the cathodic protection technology plays in the oil and gas pipeline in China is presented.After the anti-corrosion effect evaluations of three examples,the advantages of this notable technology of the cathodic protection technology have been proven.The popularization of cathodic protection technology in the buried steel pipeline is suggested.
