Abstract
The rutting of middle layer would be generally most important in three-layer asphalt surface.But there are many factors influencing the three-layer asphalt surface rutting and its development such as pollution between layers,thickness,modulus difference between layers,compacted degree.This paper analyzed the rutting of an expressway in Guangdong province and compared the rutting of common section with that of other sections,such as bridge surface,polluted place,driveway,shoulder.The Rotary Loaded Wheel Tester or RUTMETER was also used to examine the distortion development and provided guidance for the 9 maintenance test sections with rutting disease and different structure.
