Abstract

The concept,origin and development of strategic environmental assessment(SEA),and the content and index system of sustainable development are briefly described in this paper.The relations between sustainable development and strategic EIA are also analysed.It is emphasized that SEA is a central link to reach sustainable development which of guides us to implement SEA.
