Abstract
Objective To investigate the comparison between propofol and sevoflurane in the incidence of nausea and vomiting after patients undergoing gynecological operation.Method Thirty-eight patients undergoing gynecological operation were enrolled in this study, and 19 of which were selected to use protocol during the operation, the rest were selected to use propofol at the dose of 2 mg/kg to conduct anesthesia induction, and followed by sevoflurane for anesthesia maintaince. The incidence of nausea and vomiting after operation at 1 h was recorded. Results Lower incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting in group propofol than group sevoflurane. Conclusion Administration of propofol in the anesthesia induction and maintance is characterized by the lower incidence of nausea and vomiting.
