Abstract
It is difficult to distinguish oil and gas layer in condensate reservoir with characteristics of light oil and condensate gas by conventional logging curves. An experiment was designed to analyze the physical properties of the different gasoil ratio reservoir fluid and petrophysical parameters saturated various gasoil ratio fluid. The experiment results show that the fluid wave velocity and bulk compressibility are very sensitive to gas, next is the hydrogen index. The fluid density difference between the high GOR light oil and low GOR condensate gas is minimum. With the increase of gasoil ratio in fluid, the rocks compression wave velocity, compressionshear wave velocity ratio and bulk modulus decrease, and shear wave velocity slightly increase. The experiment result provides experiment foundation to distinguish light oil and condensate gas layer.
