Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical application of proseal laryngeal mask airway under intravenous anesthesia without muscle relaxants in the stent-graft interventional therapy of thoracic aortic aneurysm. Methods Stent-graft treatment was carried out timely in 60 patients with thoracic aortic aneurysm, with ASA grade Ⅱ~Ⅲ.The patients were divided into 2 groups by randomized blocks:the tracheal intubation plus intravenous anesthesia plus muscle relaxants group (group Ⅰ) and the laryngeal mask plus intravenous anesthesia group (group Ⅱ).In each group, the hemodynamics and pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) at some special points were observed. The awaking time and the extubation time were recorded.Follow-up visit was carried out for anesthesia-related complications during the first post-operative day. Results The Results of group Ⅱ in the stent-graft interventional therapy of thoracic aortic aneurysm were satisfactory, with more stable hemodynamics Results and fewer anesthesia-related complications. Conclusions Proseal laryngeal mask airway plus intravenous anesthesia without muscle relaxants in the stent-graft interventional treatment of thoracic aortic aneurysm was available and effective, which is worthy to be widely used.
