An introduction to the theoretical system of the ancient Chinese literature

In the past over half a century, a great progress has been made in the researches on the ancient Chinese literary theories and there have been emerging a number of scholars, who share the common views on some theories, say, the Chinese literature with indigenous characteristics originated from the history and culture of China, and we may benefit from the western literary views but we cannot copy them. Therefore, the present article aims to offer an outline of the theoretical system of the ancient Chinese literature viewed from its origin, creation and appreciation.
