Abstract
Land subsidence is one of the main geological disasters in a coal mining area,it seriously threatens mine production safety,and damage ecological and geological environments. In order to further study the formation mechanism of the surface subsidence,based on three aspects including the rock stress field variation, the groundwater drainage and the fault structure,the causes of coal mining subsidence are analyzed. At the same time,the development status of Pingdingshan coal mining subsidence in the mining area is discussed. According to the abundant rock movement observation data,the rock movement parameters suitable for the coal mining area were determined,and the ground subsidence caused by coal mining was predicted. The coalfield final subsidence area is about 198. 07 km2.
