Abstract

Agricultural modernization is a hard and complicated system.This essay is intended to study the Communist's exploration of agricultural modernization(1949-1956).We think that at that time the nation wide land reform provided the first factor of development.Cooperation,collectivization,and mechanization were pre conditions of a gricultural modernization.State owned farms were typical of modern agriculture.Political,economic,cultural and technological conditions in which China were carrying on large scale agriculture modernization basically began to take shape.
