The efficacy of radiofrequency thermocoagulation combined with ozone injection in the treatment of 252 cases of lumbar disc herniation

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of radiofrequency thermocoagulation combined with ozone injection in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods: 252 patients of our hospital from March 2008 to June 2011 were given the treatment of radiofrequency thermocoagulation combined with ozone injection under the guidance of DSA,and were observed curative effect through VAS and MacNab.Results: After treatment,114 cases were excellent,120 cases were good,12 cases were fair,6 cases were bad,the good rate was 92.9%.Conclusion: The method of radiofrequency target thermocoagulation combined with ozone injection proves to be significant,safe and worthwhile to be widely used in clinical treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
