Abstract
This paper introduced a multiple inputs single output linear system model based on the principle and method of modern system engineering. The Dongtinghu and Yichang Hankou basins of the Yangtze river were selected for flood simulation case study. Using data of historical floods, the model performs well with high model efficiencies and low relative error. The model will provide the technical support and service for flood forecasting and dispatch decision in the middle reach of Yangtze River.
