Abstract
Under ordinary pressure, the experiment of simple distillation and fractional distillation is studied. The rela- tionship between temperature platform and content or D-value of boiling point in two-component system is explained. As a conclusion, while separating and purifying organic liquids with low-purity or near-boiling points, their tempera- ture platforms and boiling points will be measured properly by fractionating process; and their temperature platforms will not be founded if measured by simple distillation, only the boiling point of high-purity liquid compounds can be mea- sured accurately by simple distillation; simple distillation just is fit for separating liquid compounds with significant differ- ent boiling points.
