On the Cultural Meaning of English and Chinese Color words

The language of each nation has its own system of color words.Different usages of color words may reflect different cultural psychology and aesthetic interests of different nations,which results in analogy differences.The thesis is trying to illustrate that language is a part of culture and also the carrier of culture through the analysis and comparison of the cultural meaning of seven major colors from English and Chinese color words.In a word,language has the function of storing and carrying culture.
