Reconsider Rhyme and Rhyme Category

There is a successive relationship between rhyme and rhyme category. Some scholars think rhyme category includes rhyme, this viewpoint roots out of the confusion of different rhyming forms of different genres and the neglect of the distinction between the original and derivative meaning of rhyme category. Actually, the rhyme category used in historical phonological study is the same as the one used in rhyme books. First, they are the same in the vowel and coda. And as to the tone, it depends on the genre. They are different in poems and are the same in Ci poetry and Qu poetry.
