A Philological Study of the Pronunciation of Four Chinese Characters

The investigation and study of categories of the first, final and tone of the ancient Chinese characters, normally takes its basic data the pronunciation of characters, but errors in writing pictographs and the shifting in the pronunciation of characters from ancient to now, have resulted in a pictophonetic confusion, which often creates a lot of difficulties in our correct uderstanding the system of the first, final and tone of the Chinese characters used in remote ages. The article presents the author's own viewpoints about the firsts of four Chinese chacters, such as 余、守 etc. and their pronunciation.
