Abstract
The combination of smart antennas and joint detection in uplink of TD SCDMA can improve system capability, and will lead to much more computational burden. How to reach the equilibrium of performance and computational requirement is a key problem. In this paper, the principle and approach for combination of smart antennas and joint detection in uplink of TD SCDMA were analyzed mathematically. A simplified approach was presented on the premise of higher system performance. The simulation results show that the combination method works well.
