Abstract
There are typical well\|developed characteristics and types of mineral calamity of loess plateau in Xijin village. By analysing the specific property of the loess deposit and chemical surroundings of the earth in this area, the paper describes the section, the chemical composition and trace element of the loess in this area systematically. It also deduces the climatic characteristic and function of the loess in the fourth era in Lanzhou and decides\|the mineral era. Then it discusses the content condition of the meltable salt in loess stratum in different times and gives a qualitative analysis of the change tendency of the trace element on the section of the whole stratum in order to explore the surroundings of loess deposit. It provides theoretical basis for studying the forming mechanism of Chinese loess and preventing mineral calamity in loess area
