On the Two Difficult Choices of Compulsory Education in China's Countryside

There exist a lot of problems in the present-period compulsory education in China's countryside, among which the singularity of the type of compulsory education is the main cause that lead to the structural deprivation and discontinuation of school education of the children in the countryside. Therefore, to develop the compulsory education consisting of vocational and technological education is the key to the problem. However, there also arise problems that the result is likely to cause the imbalance of education opportunity between country children and city children. Thus, it is necessary to re-comprehend the basic theory of compulsory education and the present-day system of compulsory education so as to understand the relationship between general compulsory education and vocationally compulsory education.
