Investigation on Turf Weed in Suzhou Area and Study on Comprehensive Control Techniques

According to the investigation on turf weed in Suzhou area, more than 30 kinds of weeds were found,among them the dominant species included Cyperus rotundus L., Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides, Alternanthera philoxeroides (Mart.) and Dichondra repens Forst.. The control experiment results of weed showed that MCPA had good control effect on C.rotundus L. and A. philoxeroides, and Starane and Puma had good control effects on D. repens and Digitaria sanguinalis (L.), and Jinchuhe had good control effects on D. sanguinalis (L.). According to the actual situation of Suzhou area, some comprehensive control measures for weed were proposed, such as selection of suitable turfgrass variety, reasonable planting and strengthening cultivation and management, chemical control and artificial weeding.
