Abstract
Based on the new economic geography, and using the 31 provincial-level data of China from 2005 to 2010,this paper constructs a model of the relationship between heterogeneous labor migration and service industry agglomeration, and then empirically analyzes it.The results show that the migration of highskilled workers significantly increases the producer service sector agglomeration while it is insignificantly correlated with the consumer service sector agglomeration. The migration of low-skilled workers significantly increases the consumer service sector agglomeration degree while it is insignificantly correlated with the producer service sector agglomeration. The migration of high-skilled workers has a stronger effect on the service industry agglomeration than the migration of low skilled workers.
