Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze and summarize the infection induced by 183 strains of stenotrophomonas maltophilia and the antibiotic resistance in order to provide basis for the prevention and treatment of this kind of infection.METHODS:183 strains of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolated clinically were identified and their susceptibility was tested. The pertinent clinical data were reviewed to analyze the risk factors of stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection.RESUTLS:Most of 183 strains were isolated from sputum(81.4%).Leading the first 4 places in terms of the detection rate of stenotrophomonas maltophilia were the respiratory department(31.8%),the cadres' department(24.7%),ICU(17.6%)and the oncology department(5.9%).The risk factors included old age(80.0%),invasive procedures(41.2%)and the use of broad spectrum antibiotics(100%).The drug sensitivity tests in vitro showed that the 183 strains were resistant to commonly used antibiotics, and drugs whose sensitive rate was over 50% included SMZ-TMP(80.3%),cefoperazone/sulbactam(69.9%),piperacillin/tazobctam(64.5%)and ciprofloxacin(57.4%).CONCLUSION:The Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection is more often seen in patients with severe underlying diseases and low immunity.Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is resistant to many kinds of antibiotics, the antibiotic treatment which should be based on drug susceptibility test.
