Abstract
Based on pedestrian crossing delay, the service of pedestrian crossing facility was divided into 6 levels.A model of pedestrian crossing delay of urban road intersection was proposed.Pedestrian delay in unsignalized intersections and signalized intersections was analyzed. The pedestrian delay of signalized intersections was divided into signal controlling delay and vehicle stream disturbing delay according to the fact whether pedestrian signal and vehicle signal thoroughly were separated.A method to calculate signal controlling delay was proposed based on the characteristic of pedestrian gathering and dissipating. The result of case analysis indicates that the determination precision of the delay model is better than Vissim simulation.
