Abstract
Ultrasonic extraction was used to extract 16 kinds of Chinese herbs with ethanol,50% ethanol solution and water as solvents. The antioxidant capacity of the extracts was measured and evaluated by three kinds of antioxidant activity evaluation methods in vitro. The results showed that the ethanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea L.,Polygonum multiflorum and Herba Cistanche had better scavenging effects to DPPH ·,· OH and· O2-free radicals;three kinds of extracts of Punica granatum L.had strong scavenging activity to DPPH·and·O2-free radicals, the same as the water extracts of Citrusaurantium L.and Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.;and the water extracts of all herbs exhibited lower scavenging effects to·OH free radicial.
