Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of combined Shenxinning Decoction and routine therapy for heart disease following chronic renal insufficiency. Methods Seventy subjects were randomized into two groups: control group in which 35 cases were treated by routine therapy, and treatment group in which 35 cases by combined Shenxinning Decoction and routine therapy, with a course of four months; the clinical efficacy, syndrome effect, blood routine, renal function, 24-hour urinary protein, EKG, UCG and serum K+ were observed. Results: The total effective rates of clinical efficacy and syndrome effect were 63.33% and 90.00% in the treatment group, 55.88% and 17.65% in the control group, with a difference in the syndrome effect between the two groups(P0.05). Such symptoms as aching loin and chest distress were strikingly improved in the treatment group(P0.05). After treatment, the level of Scr was obviously increased in the treatment group and reduced in the control group(P0.05), with a difference between the two groups(P0.05). The contents of RBC, Hb, SBP and DBP were improved in the treatment group(P0.05), with a difference between the two groups(P0.05). There was a difference in EF in the treatment group between the pretreatment and posttreatment(P0.05). Conclusion Combined Shenxinning Decoction and routine therapy is quite effective for heart disease following chronic renal insufficiency.
