Abstract

A strain of virus isolated from dead ducks was inoculated into the allantoic cavity of muscovy duck embryos, showing that it caused death to the embryos at the second generation, the embryonic body hemorrhaged, and white spot presented on the liver and spleen of some embryos. The isolated virus was compareed with standard virus by RT-PCR in which both amplified specific band.It indicated that the isolated virus was a strain of Muscovy duck reovirus.
