Abstract
To solve the problem of difficult to set up the network, high cost and restricted scope in existing cable water environment monitoring system,a new system based on Zigbee wireless sensor networks was proposed. The system was constructed on Zigbee wireless sensor networks and 3G network, sensor nodes for data acquisition were arranged in the monitoring position, multiple sensor nodes construct a wireless network, the gateway node collect data and transmit to remote data management center. The experimental results show that the proposed system is simple, stable and reliable. The system is suitable for wide range of ream-time monitoring of water environment.
