Abstract
The development trend of the petrochemical industry and petrochemical technology was described and the applications of new technologies in the petrochemical industry were introduced.It was pointed out that great efforts should be made to boost the original creativity of science and technology and absorb the advanced technology along with the development of economy.The green chemical technology and sustainable development strategy should be adopted to promote further the petrochemical industry.
