Abstract
Compared with common silicon sol,the sol-gel process of large particle size silicon sol prepared with the additives had been investigated in this paper.The effect of pH,silica colloid particle size,temperature,the concentration of silicon sol and the addition of surfactant on the stability of large particle size silicon sol were emphatically studied,and the growth mode of particle size was characterized by TEM method.The results not only showed that the stability of large particle size silicon sol was increased in the presence of some additives but also the stability of silicon sol was influenced by the growth mode of particle size.
