Abstract
Objective To explore the experience of surgical treatment on nodular goiter. Methods To analyze the clinical data of 210 cases of nodular goiter patients retrospectively. Results All the cases underwent enucleation nodules, thyroid partial resection, subtotal resection or total resection. All patients had surgery process smoothly and hadn't significant complications occurred. There were 153 cases cured (72.86%), 44 cases improved (20.95%), and the total effective rate was 93.81%. We followed up 130 cases, there were 4 cases recurrenced(3.08%). Conclusions Surgical treatment on nodular goiter is an effective means. The appropriate surgical option is the key to reduce the recurrence.
