Abstract
The future distributed simulation standard of PLA will be based on HLA. Several institutes are developing different RTIs, with valuable simulation results, while falling short of the following: The interconnection of different version of RTI; The platform-independence and language-independence of simulation objects; The interoperability of different simulation objects; The reuse of simulation objects; The complexity of developing distributed simulation objects and simulation applications. In this paper, an investigation is made of the feasibility of designing a General Distributed Simulation Environment (GDSE), which is based on the WWW and can partly resolve problems above mentioned. Furthermore, a basic design of GDSE is presented.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
