Abstract
For adopting hepatitis B(HB)vaccine into EPI program,a base line investigation on HB vaccine coverage rate, first dose of timely HB vaccine injection rate, timely full course vaccination rate and the HBsAg carrier rate in 0-3 year old children in Guangan city was carried out in may 2002 by the method of random cluster-sampling.The results showed that in 3601 children investigated, the HB vaccine coverage rate was 60.18%,the timely first dose injection rate was 35.05%,the full course vaccination rate was 50.54% and the timely full course vaccination rate was 32.80%.HBsAg was detected positive in 150 children, the HBsAg carrier rate was 4.17%.The data above were far from the requirements set up by Ministry of Health. Suggestions were put forward for improvement.
