Abstract
According to the mixed traffic flow of China, this paper studies the fixed time bus priority signal control and fixed cycle induced bus priority signal control. And based on the single phase fixed cycle bus priority induced signal planning, the arithmetic of muti-phase fixed cycle bus priority signal planning and the model fixed time single bus priority signal planning are established to minimize the average delay of passenger.According to the traffic flow of a signal intersection in a city, the optimization of bus priority signal planning is solved by Newton iteration. The different plans are simulated by Vissim and the analyzed result of delay in intersection indicates that the new signal planning can reduce the delay of passenger and vehicle effectively and improve the capacity of signal intersection.
