Abstract

Objective To understand the physical and mental health differences between different-grade medical students so as to provide empirical support for building a physical and mental health education system of medical students.Methods We surveyed the mental health and physical fitness of medical students randomly chosen from classes 2010,2009 and 2008 with the personality questionnaires(UPI and EPQ),stress questionnaire and physical survey.Results ① From an overall point of view,the medical students of class 2009 had worse mental health than those of classes 2008 and 2010;medical students of different grades showed different performance in the same influencing factors.② Exercise frequency decreased with the increase of grade,and students' physical health have a downward trend(P0.05).Conclusion Physical and mental health of different grades of medical students is different.There is an urgent need to build medical students' mental health education system and attach importance to their physical exercise.
