Abstract
The article discusses many features of SVG, and explores how to organize and encode spatial data based on SVG. We design a SVG-based WebGIS architecture based on the designed data organization and encoding scheme,and implements a prototype system based on the architecture.The prototype system can realize the SVG-based vector spatial data display and publishing,and perform interactions on the clients’ side.
