The Position and Spatial Development Strategy of Anhui Province in the Urban Agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta

As the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta and neighborhood of Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shanghai,Anhui has a great potential in cooperation with the developed areas in terms of resource exploitation,industrial development,market expandedness,etc.Both of the Anhui provincial party committees and the Anhui government have further understood Anhui's future development direction and made a significant decision of promoting Anhui's future development toward east and increasing its speed of returning to the Yangtze River Delta.Based on the analyses on the development trend of the urban agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta,this paper advances the hierarchical and sequent integration mode of Anhui into the Yangtze River Delta,discusses Anhui's provincial urban master development strategy of 'development toward east' and gives some thoughts of the position and spatial development strategy of Anhui province in the Urban Agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta.
