Bhutto Constitution and Pakistan's Federalism

Abstract

Bhutto Constituion,also called 1973 Pakistan Constitution,plays an important role in the development of Pakistani constitutionalism.Ever since its publication in 1973,the constition has been suspended temorarily and for several times modified,yet it is still the fundamental law of Pakistan. In this essay,the author explores the factors affecting Pakistan's choice of federalism,the relationship between the union and the provinces as well as the characteristics of Pakistan's federalism,which have not yet been probed into in China.
