Abstract

DICOM protocol is a broadly accepted standard of in medical picture system PACS, but many of the current medical image sources are non-DICOM format. This paper designs and implements a DICOM gateway to allow these sources entering PACS, according to the practices of the second affiliated hospital of guangzhou medical collage. This will be of important uses for the implementation of PACS.
