On the Conformity and Innovation of the Structure of China's Political Culture in the Transforming Era

It is of great significance to explore the inner structures of a nation's political culture and their interrelations for a better understanding of the operation of the whole political system.This paper provides a tentative analysis of modern China's political culture structures approached from the aspects of elite and mass political culture,under the categories of social ideology,traditional political culture and democratic political culture.It is pointed out in the paper that the integration and innovation of modern China's political culture should be orientated towards a socialist civic culture with Chinese characteristics based on the core principles of rights,democracy and the rule of law.Meanwhile,it is stressed that the political socialization plays an important role in the integration and updating of the political culture.
