Abstract
Sediment samples from the borehole Lz908 of the Laizhou Bay were employed here for the grain-size and sedimentary analyses. The results showed that the average grain size was 3.3~6.8Φ with poor sorted, fine skewed and Platykurtic, which means the grain sizes ranged from coarse silt to very fine sand. The sediments settled in the southern of the Laizhou Bay were controlled by the river, tide and wave, and the fluvial effect was the dominant factor. It is inferred that the sediments deposited in a deltaic environment.
