Research of Bentonite Modification Used for Treatment the COD in Landfill Leachate

Abstract

In order to treatment the COD in landfill leachate,the modified method and removal efficiency of bentonite modified by PAC were researched. The result showed that removal efficiency of bentonite was improved after modified,and the modified time and quantity of modifier solution had a certain influence on the COD removal effect. After treated by modified bentonite,the COD in landfill leachate still can not meet contented I- class criteria specified in Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard( GB 8978- 1996).
