Abstract

The pretreatment of printing and dyeing wastewater was studied by Fe-C microelectrolysis. The effects of initial pH,reaction time,iron-carbon dosage and aeration time on the pretreatment results were examined. The obtained optimum conditions were initial pH=3,reaction time 120 min,iron-carbon dosage 100 g·(100 mL)-1 and aeration time 120 min.Under above conditions,CODCr could achive 489 mg·L-1,the colour could decrease by 125 times and the B/C could rise to 0.37.
