Abstract
Based on studying the float coal spontaneous combustion characteristic in the gob of remining face, the flow-diffusion mathematic model was build from the simplified physical flow model of the gob, with the boundary condition determined by analyzing the on-the-spot data of the gases in the gob,the distribution of oxygen concentration and the velocity of air flow in the gob were calculated by numerically simulating the flow field. Then the coal spontaneous combustion dangerous zone was predicted with the simulated results and the coal spontaneous combustion characteristic parameters from experiments, and the precision can satisfy the needs to predict and prevent float coal spontaneous and combustion in the gob of remining face.
