Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC method for the determination of Phenobarbital and Carbamazpine in human plasma.METHODS The separation was pertormed on a ODS Hypersil column.The mobile phase was composed of methanol-water(55∶45).The detective wavelength was at 254nm.Phenytoin was used as the internal standard.RESULTS The calibration curves was linear in the range of 2.5~40 μg·mL~(-1) for Phenobarbital(r=0.9996) and 1.25~20 μg·mL~(-1) for Carbamazepine(r=0.9995),respectively.The average recovery of Phenobarbital was 100.69% and that of Carbamazpine was 98.67%.Intra-day RSD and inter-day RSD were less than 3%.CONCLUSION The method is accurate,rapid,and convenient.It can be used for a routine method to determinate the plasma concentration of PB and CBZ.
