Abstract

Objective:To analyze measles incidence of age and seasonal distribution according to measles' antibody detection results from 2007 to 2011 in Haizhu District,Guangzhou city. Methods:Using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) for detection of measles IgM antibody, and summarizing previous test results.Results:409 suspected cases of IgM antibody positive serum were collected from 2007 to 2011.As for 153 IgM antibody cases, the positive rate was 37.41%.There was high positive rate(40.53%) in spring. The age of IgM antibody positive was from 3 months-40 years. As for the 8-month-old group, the positive rate was the highest(56.86%).Conclusion:The detection of measles IgM antibody is one of the main methods to quickly confirm cases.Winter and spring is the peak incidence of measles, and children under the age of 1 is the high risk population.
