Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of 64-slice spiral CT angiography (CTA) in the postoperative examination for intracranial aneurysms. Methods Twenty-one patients with treated intracranial aneurysms were studied with postoperative CTA using 64-slice helical CT, and we used MPR, VR and MIP techniques to reconstruct 2D or 3D images. Results For the cases using titanium clips, 64-slice helical CTA could clearly reveal the occlusion of the aneurysm, the relationship between the parent vessel and aneurysm clips and the quantity and location of aneurysm clips. Conclusion 64-slice helical CTA can be used as a postoperative follow-up tool for the aneurysms treated by titanium clips.
