Abstract
In this paper a method of the discovery of short variable stars is stated in detail. The procedure used to find candidate variables is based on the selection of stars with light curves showing large dispersion as compared with other stars of similar magnitude. That is , a star is selected as a variable candidate if it presents a larger deviation (3σ)in its light curve compared with that of other star of similar magnitude.
