Radical Total Gastrectomy Gasto-intestinal Reconstruction with Part Turned Jejunum Anastomosis as Gastric Substitute

Objective To investigate a method of gastric intestinal reconstruction which conform to the request of physiology followed radical total gastrectomy.Methods From Oct 1995 to June 1997,30 cases were analyzed who underwent gastro intestinal reconstruction with part turned jejunum anastomosis as gatric substitute after radical total gastrectomy.Results No fistula and obstruction in the position of anastomosis,no reflux esophagitis,dumping syndrome and stomachless syndrome occurred,the survival rate of 1,2,3 year postoperation was 82.8%,65.5% and 52.6% respectively.The body weight of 82.8% patients after 6 months postoperation was recovered or increased.Conclusion Part turned jejunum anastomosis as gastric substitute after radical total gastrectomy is a simple,safe and ideal method for gastro intestinal reconstruction.It coform to the request or physiology.
